Sisterhood

Sisterhood's Mission

Our mission is to unite the diverse women of our congregation through social, educational, cultural, social action, and Jewish ritual programming to strengthen our role as women, promote Conservative (Masorti) Judaism, and foster a strong bond with Jews locally, in Israel, and around the world.

Our main goal is to support our membership, the synagogue as a whole, the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, and causes that are relevant to us as women.

Summer Camp Cash Program

Sisterhood offers "Camp Cash" grants to assist with Jewish camping experience or trip costs for children of Sisterhood members. For details and an application, please go to the Camp Cash page.

Torah Fund

You can help support and perpetuate Conservative/Masorti Judaism by giving to the Women's League for Conservative Judaism's Torah Fund. Torah Fund is the dedicated philanthropy of the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, supporting scholarships and programs in institutes of higher Jewish learning. Since 2024-25 Torah Fund Pinits inception in 1942, Torah Fund has raised more than $111 million. To contribute, go to Donate to Torah Fund and indicate Congregation Beth Emeth, Herndon, VA as your "affiliate."  Donors of $180 or more will receive a Torah Fund pin.
