Mission Statement
The mission of CBE Sisterhood is to unite the diverse woman of our congregation through social, educational, cultural, social action, and Jewish ritual programming in order to strengthen our role as women, promote Conservative (Masorti) Judaism, and foster a strong bond with Jews locally, in Israel, and around the world.
Our main goal is to support our membership, the synagogue as a whole, the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, and causes that are relevant to us as women.
Summer Camp Cash Program
Sisterhood offers "Camp Cash" grants to assist with Jewish camping experience or trip costs for children of Sisterhood members. The annual application date is the first Sunday after Labor Day.. Check out the Cash Cash page for grant program details and application.
Torah Fund

Torah Fund is a campaign by the Women's League for Conservative Judaism to ensure our legacy to future generations of Conservative Jews by providing funds for the education of rabbis, cantors, educators, and administrators for Day Schools and synagogue schools; synagogue administrators, social workers, scholars, and professional and lay leaders and researchers.
The theme for this year is Chazak v’ Ematz—be strong and courageous. The Torah Fund pin is our thank you for contributions of $180 or more. Wearing this pin signifies the joy of Sisterhood members working together year-round to make important contributions to the Jewish community and supporting the five degree granting institutes of higher Jewish education. Our pride in being Jewish shows in everything we do. We are high achievers in our professional and personal lives, and we accomplish even more together!
This pin symbolizes the story of the Israelites preparing to enter the Promised Land, when the leadership transitions from Moses to Joshua. The Israelites and Joshua are instructed to “be strong and courageous” (Deuteronomy 31:6, 7, 23; Joshua 1:6, 7, 9, 18). The 5783 Torah Fund pin represents 80 years of ever-increasing strength of Torah Fund.
