Madrichim

To continue our tradition of learning, our Chai School students have the opportunity to become assistant teachers, or Madrichim, to the elementary school-aged children in the Religious School.  Our teens find sharing the knowledge they've gained with our youngest students to be a rewarding experience, and the Religious School students benefit from learning from their teen role models.  Madrichim may also choose to aid outside the classrooms in our school office. 

Prospective Madrichim should apply by completing the form below. Teens in grades 8-10 must be enrolled in Chai School to be eligible to serve as Madrichim.  Madrichim will earn credit for service to CBE as part of the Chai School curriculum. 

Madrichim in grades 11-12 are eligible to be paid for their hours.*  

Madrichim receiving credit for Chai School can also apply for service hours outside CBE.*

* Students are responsible for emailing and/or turning in any forms needed for SSL hours or hourly payment. If you are eligible for payment and you wish to be paid, please also go to https://vaeecs.doli.virginia.gov/vaeecs/ and complete the paperwork. You will need to provide proof of age to the CBE front office and complete CBE payment forms.
