Join Us May 3 & 4
To Meet Our Prospective Cantor & Religious School Director!

(Quicklink to feedback form)

As you may recall from our last candidate visit, our Ritual Committee and School Committee had been conducting two separate searches--one for a new High Holiday Cantor and one for a Religious School Director, when it became apparent that CBE would be better served by hiring a "Cantor Educator" (the Conservative Movement's official title for the combined role). The Cantor Educator will be responsible for the administration of our religious school, lead High Holiday services and perform other clergy duties as well. Rabbi Warner's March Shofar column includes his thinking on the value of this role.

The combined search committee has found a candidate who not only possesses the necessary qualifications and experience to lead our religious school, but also brings a deep understanding of music, prayer, and Jewish tradition, and a spirit and focus that seems to fit the Beth Emeth culture as well!

Now It's Your Turn to Meet Cantor Jessica Woolf Silverberg!

  • Friday, May 3

6:30 PM: Erev Shabbat Service - Cantor Silverberg will join Nick May for our monthly "Music to Our Ears" Shabbat

  • Saturday, May 4

9:00 AM, Shabbat Morning Service
Luncheon following services

  • For those involved, Cantor Silverberg will also participate in BEECC's Shabbat Sing on Friday morning and the Religious School Shabbaton dinner on Friday before services. She will also visit the Religious School and teach two mini-lessons on Sunday.

It’s important that we get your feedback. Please come to as many events as you can and then be sure to complete the feedback form below by Sunday afternoon.
