Tisha B'Av Torah Service & Study Session
Sunday, August 7, 2022 • 10 Av 5782
9:00 AM - 11:00 AMSanctuary & ZoomTisha B’Av morning torah service and study session. Service at 9:00 AM, study session starts at approximately 10:00 AM.
Study topic: Tisha b’Av is a day of national mourning for the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, but what was its cause? Was the destruction an act of collective (national) punishment, or individual punishment? Was it the result of individual or collective sins? Come learn this passage from the Talmud, in which the rabbis tell us their version of the events leading to the destruction of the Temple, and see if we can answer these questions.
If you'd like to learn more about the three mournful summer holy days culminating with Tisha B'Av and the customs around them, watch Rabbi Warner's 5-minute video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elyl7VNY7Ks.
