Pizmon-Jewish A Cappella
Thursday, March 4, 2021 • 20 Adar 5781
7:30 PM - 8:30 PMOnlineCongregation Beth Emeth is excited to host this fabulous a cappella group of Jewish students from the shared campus of Columbia University, Barnard College, and The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
The entire Beth Emeth community, family & friends are invited to enjoy a FREE virtual concert of Pizmon’s wide range of Jewish music specially arranged by the group which includes liturgical pieces in both Hebrew and English, Israeli rock and pop, children's songs, and even a few songs in Yiddish and Ladino!
Since its inception in 1987 as the first collegiate Jewish a cappella group, Pizmon has traveled to hundreds of communities within the United States as well as several communities across 4 continents in the world. Their mission is to share their love of Jewish music and culture and to bring ruach (spirit) to communities around the globe. They have performed in parks, community centers, nursing homes, schools, and hospitals, as well as such venues as the White House and Lincoln Center. This year, as travel is not possible for them, they have reached out to congregations such as ours to offer a virtual performance.
Please RSVP using the form below to attend this concert free of charge -- since it is online, just put "1" in the place for number of participants attending free. The Zoom link will be sent immediately upon registration.
We look forward having you join us to enjoy an evening of beautiful Jewish music that promises to lift and warm your soul!
