Chevre Kadishah Interest Form

With the changing demographics and needs of the Jewish community in Northern Virginia, Rabbi Warner Ferratier of Congregation Beth Emeth and Rabbi Neil Tow of Sha'are Shalom are working to create a Chevre Kadishah (Jewish Burial Society) in our area. For more background and details on this initiative, please see Rabbi Warner's column in the February, 2024 Shofar Newsletter.

One of the first steps is to identify and train a group of volunteers who can be part of this effort. To that end, an informational meeting will be held on Sunday, February 25, at 2:30 PM via Zoom. The Zoom link for the meeting will be distributed via email before the meeting.

If you are interested in volunteering or just want to know more, please let us know by completing the brief form below. Anyone above Bar/Bat Mitzvah age is welcome, however, those with a background in nursing, physical therapy, or medicine are particularly encouraged.

Thank you for your interest in helping provide this important service in Northern Virginia!
