Good Deeds (Mitzvah) Week

April 11-18, 2021

This year's "Good Deeds Day" is spread over a whole week, and the focus is on food insecurity.

We have chosen to support two school-oriented food initiatives, The South Lakes High School food pantry and Helping Hungry Kids. More information on each, including their lists of most needed items, are below.

To participate, just drop off donated items at Congregation Beth Emeth at the following days & times -- if the weather cooperates, collection bins will be outside; otherwise a staff member will be available to let you into the lobby for contactless drop-off (just drop by, no scheduling email required):

  • Sunday, April 11, 12:30-1:30 PM (You can take advantage to order from Shouk and pick up 12:30-1:00!)
  • Tuesday,  April 13, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Wednesday, April 14, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • DROPOFF DATE/TIME ADDED! Sunday, April 18, 10:30 AM-1:30 PM

If you have a child who attends any of the schools involved, we are looking for a liaison to help connect with the organizers to know when & where we can deliver the food, and if desired to be a liaison for additional CBE donation drives. Email social-action@bethemeth.org if you can help.

  • Pudding cups, any flavor
  • Apple sauce, any flavor
  • Microwave pop corn
  • Ramen or other brand noodles
  • Chef Boyardee cups, any flavors or things like spaghettios (can be cans)
