President's Welcome

Message from Barbara Waldman, CBE President

Shalom!   Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Congregation Beth Emeth (CBE).  I hope the information on this site will help you learn more about our people and programs, and provide you with a sense of our dynamic, full-service congregation.

CBE is a diverse community, and our members run the gamut: we are single and married; young and not-so-young; with children and without; interfaith couples and couples where both spouses are Jewish; and everything in between!   The diversity of our congregants means that everyone can find his or her place here!

I like to think of CBE as a “right-sized” congregation – large enough to meet the religious, social, cultural, and educational needs of our community, yet small enough that each member’s participation and contributions make a difference.  Your input into our congregation will be both meaningful and important to us.

I urge you to visit us.  Use the calendar feature on our website to choose an event that interests you.   Then, feel free to drop in and get to know our members, or join us for a Friday night or Saturday morning Shabbat service, which are open to all.   Stop by on a Sunday morning and feel the excitement as our Religious School programming is in full-swing (Sept-May).  You will find that our building is a place of constant activity, filled with children, teens, and adults enthusiastically experiencing Judaism.

Selecting a synagogue is an important decision.  So, please don’t hesitate to call and speak to one of our dedicated staff members who can help answer any questions you may have.  Also, feel free to contact me directly at president@bethemeth.org  if I can be of further assistance.  Of course, our Website, www.bethemeth.org, is always available and provides a wealth of information.

Thank you again for your interest in Congregation Beth Emeth.   I look forward to seeing you soon – and often!

Sincerely,

Barbara Waldman
