God
is not a hypothesis derived from logical assumptions, but an
immediate insight, self-evident as light. He is not something to be
sought in the darkness with the light of reason. He is the light.

CO-WINNER: The Light
-- Geena May
CO-WINNER: Understanding
God is mysterious to those that
try to understand him
Yet a beacon of hope for those that need comfort
Try to understand him and you will be disappointed
Understand his teachings and you will be rewarded
Not a problem to be calculated or solved
But a mirror to see ourselves
The selected poetry of
Yehuda Amichai/edited and translated from the Hebrew by Chana Bloch and

The sky
turns grey as the rain clouds shift into view. It is drizzling now, a
soft pitter-patter that soothes my mind as I sit and watch the world.
The leaves bounce as tiny droplets land on their broad backs. The birds
chirp mournfully, awaiting the sunshine’s return.
I do not
know when I started to realize I had left the light on in my room.
