Annual Shavuot
"Roll out the Torah"
and Scavenger Hunt |
At Beth Emeth, we know that Jewish learning doesn’t
begin or end with the Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Learning, education
and life-long study are among our top priorities. In keeping with the
United Synagogue of Conservative
Judaism (USCJ), we see Jewish education as a way to secure our life as a
Jewish people. We also enjoy Jewish learning as a way to own our
Jewish heritage—to make our prayers, history and culture more accessible to
us within our modern American setting.
We feel that ritual observance becomes more meaningful with understanding,
and as a congregation, we strive to help members climb the ladder of Jewish
knowledge and observance. The result of our passion for learning and growth
is that we have a unique and truly amazing number of lay leaders, young and
old, who read Torah, lead services, teach classes and participate fully in
an active Jewish life.

No one should have
to feel left out because they don’t know Hebrew, the prayers, the melodies,
or Jewish history. Beth Emeth has an extremely broad range
of educational opportunities for adults as well as children, as the menu to
the left shows. Classes
are taught by Rabbi Steve, professional educators and others with special
qualifications in the topic of the course.
If you do not see a
program that meets your learning needs, or you would like to suggest a new
class or program, please contact our office,
