EZ Publicity Form

 

Thanks for organizing an event or program at CBE! We hope using this form will make it easy for you and the Communications Committee to provide first-class publicity for your event/program.

Please complete the form below and submit it at least six weeks before your event.  (NOTE: If your event is near the end of the month, you will need more lead time to have the Shofar article in by the deadline, which is the 5th of the previous month.)  If you have questions or need help using this form, please contact Karin Twilde-Sheifer, Communications Chair or Susan Berger, Cybermaven. Thank you!

Frequently-asked questions:

  • Why a form? So you can submit your information once and it will go to all the people who manage the weekly announcements, Website, Shofar and other publicity. Also it will help us ensure that no opportunity is missed to publicize your event or program. We'll contact you if we need more information.

  • What if I don't have so much lead time? Send your information using this form and we'll spread the word as best we can.

  • What if I only want a "save the date" now and don't have everything else ready? Please think through your plan and check off all the channels you will want to use, even if not ready now. Add a note with approximately when you expect to send the info needed for more detailed Announcements as well as other types of publicity. Then re-send the form with the details and a note that this is an update.

Please use my brief description in the weekly Announcements email and Shabbat program, which is also published on the "What's Happening" page of the Website.

Please provide a separate page on the website (this is mainly used for major events and/or when the community outside CBE is invited, or when on-line registration is used). Please set up an on-line event registration form (6 weeks lead time) Note: we'll also need a Word/Powerpoint/Publisher flyer/form to post for use by non-members and those who prefer to pay by check -- see below for instructions to send.

If you have requested external publicity, please provide a more detailed description of your event (200-300 words). Please be sure to include ALL information such as date, time, place, cost and how to RSVP and/or pay (if you've asked for a Webpage for the event, put a blank where the URL should be inserted, once available):

If you would like a brief article or announcement about this event in the Shofar, include it here and submit no later than the 5th day of the month before you would like the article to appear (maximum 300 words, but shorter is better!) Please sure to include ALL information such as date, time, place, cost and how to RSVP and/or pay (if you've asked for a Webpage for the event, put a blank where the URL should be inserted, once available):

7. Lobby Poster

If a poster is desired, please check one:

My organization will provide a poster to put on an easel in the lobby.
My organization will send a file for the office to print to the email address below. Please format the file (MS Word, PowerPoint or Publisher) for 11" x 17" paper.  (Let us know in the comments if you need help creating a flyer; we'll try to find a volunteer.)
