Following
the Kiddush on the second Shabbat of the month, we will now engage in a
lively, one-hour study of the Parashat HaShavuah (Torah Portion of
the Week), facilitated by Mike Wikes. Discussion will be based on chapters
from the series entitled, A Torah Commentary for Our Times,
described as "a provocative approach to the weekly Sidrah, juxtaposing the
insights of ancient, medieval, and modern commentators.” Ideal for all
levels of background and experience. If you've never tried Torah study, join
us and you'll discover that this is the perfect place to start. This week,
we begin the book of Shemot with a look at the women who saved the Jewish
